A former Candler School of Theology faculty member, Taylor received a bachelor of arts degree in religion from Emory in 1973 before earning her master of divinity from Yale in 1976. She was named one of Emory’s 175 Makers of History and won the prestigious Emory Medal in 1998. This event is part of the virtual 2020 Decatur Book Festival.
