Venerable Jian Xiang, a Buddhist nun from local Dharma Jewel Monastery, Zen Meditation Center and Buddhist temple in Atlanta (, will lead Emory Buddhist Club this week. We will have a short guided mindfulness meditation, followed by tai chi and beginner's kung fu (faster movements than the time she was here earlier this semester) -- all welcome, even if it's your first time!

Thursday Dec 6 at 6pm in Cannon Chapel main sanctuary (top floor), Emory University. And don't miss this as Ven. Jian Xiang is moving the following day to the Chung Tai Chan Monastery branch in San Francisco, Buddha Gate Monastery, so it will be her last event in Atlanta!

Emory Buddhist Club meets every Thursday at 6pm in Cannon Chapel on the main Emory University campus. Everyone is invited. Free parking in Peavine Lot, 27 Eagle Row, a short walk from the main quad. Questions?

Dharma Jewel Monastery hosts free guided meditation sessions at 10am on weekends in December. The Beginner's Zen Meditation and Buddhism course is 3 months long and starts on Thursday January 24, 2019 -- the class is free and provides an excellent foundation for practice and realization.
